Same here. Plus knee pads are cool... and functional.

On one recent trip I came up from the dive and noticed that my forearm was sore. when I felt it I noticed a lump under the wetsuit. After pulling off the suit I found a 1/2" long dorsal spine from a grouper sticking in my arm. The full suit won't stop everything. I got the last laugh. I ate that grouper the next night.

Poor little grouper. Maybe he saw your avatar and got mad

Definitely prefer a full suit for protection. I found a 3mm full was too warm during our trip this summer to the Bahamas, so for next year in Bonaire, I bought a microprene full suit. Will give me a little bit of warmth with all the repetitive diving we're doing, but more importantly will protect me from any potential stings and scrapes (while exiting).

Full suit no question-knee pads and more protection from the Jellies. In water above 86 I dive in just a diveskin.
