DIY marker buoys

does anybody have any links or pictures of their own marker buoys?

im thinking of making my own, but then need to be small and simple to store and use. i dont care how difficult it is to make as much though.

i was thinking it would be great to have a SMB style tube about 12 inches long with a no lock lp inflater fitting and a small OPV.

so if anyone knows any websites that sell small OPVs that would be great

also how would i go about sewing and sealing my own tubes?

ok i found this: http://www.divegear.com/catalog/prod...29dd2d1c612d00

now all i need is a small opv that i could add to it

does anybody know what material SMB and lift bags are made of? i already read up on RF welding, but i cant find what materials can be RF welded and which ones would remain airproof as well.

if anyone knows of a online source that sells the airproof material that would be great, im sure i could convince a sign shop in town to seal the things for me if i paid them.

thanx all
ill be sure to post pics once im done

Um Im not sure what sort of marker buoy you want but one of the things we do when we are spearfishing is to always carry a blader from a wine cask in the BCD pocket. They are silver and quite resilient.

When we shoot a large fish we blow a little air in through the tap and float it up. thus when the dive is over we go around a pick up the fish floating on the surface attached by the shark clip. We usually do this when in 3om dive areas as the bities can be around.

For a different idea anyway.
